Gumshoe - NES

Gumshoe is an NES action game from Nintendo built around side-scrolling stages, target shooting, and arcade-style reflexes. Its standout feature is light gun support, using the Nintendo Zapper to guide the detective forward while blasting obstacles, enemies, and clues out of the way. Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System cartridge game. This action and adventure title mixes shooter mechanics with auto-scrolling gameplay, creating a very different feel from standard NES platformers. The player controls detective Mr. Stevenson indirectly by firing the Zapper, which makes movement and survival depend on timing and accuracy. Stages feature gangsters, birds, bombs, and environmental hazards, with hidden items and briefcase-themed objectives tied to the case. Compatible with: Nintendo Zapper light gun and a CRT television setup for original gameplay functionality. Gumshoe remains one of the more unusual first-party Nintendo releases on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It stands out in the NES library for blending light gun shooting with a cinematic detective theme.
