Guideline Tropical Fly Line

A highly versatile range of WF lines, designed to perform in hot climates, strong winds, and when targeting powerful fish with large flies. Made for both fresh- and saltwater environments, this line is built to handle the toughest tropical conditions without compromising control or presentation. Handle the heat The Guideline Tropical WF is developed with species like bonefish, permit, and tarpon in mind. This range offers a well-balanced and universal taper designed specifically for tropical and saltwater fly fishing. Built to handle the most demanding conditions, these lines excel in hot climates, strong winds, and when casting large flies - without compromising accuracy or presentation. The line has a pale sand color along all its length – subtle and stealthy but still with good visibility for great line management and tracking on the water. Tough coating & low-stretch core The line casts with ease, offering excellent loop control and stability across a wide range of situations. Constructed with a single-density PVC coating over a very low-stretch braided core, the coating resists abrasion from sand and salt while remaining smooth and supple for consistent handling. It helps the line maintain stiffness and casting performance even in high temperatures. Powerful, accurate taper design A high-energy front taper delivers powerful, accurate casts with large flies, while still allowing for delicate presentations when the wind drops and smaller patterns are needed. The taper is optimized for quick loading and powerful turnover, which is crucial when fast reactions are a must! The level belly gives a great flow of energy throughout the whole cast, followed by a 4-meter back taper that enables you to carry a long line if distance is needed. Universal taper for tropical and saltwater fishing. Specially developed hard tropical PVC coating. Low-stretch braided core, 32lbs #7-9 and 50lbs #10-12. Strong factory-made loops in both ends, ID print on the front. Smooth and supple handling in warm climates. 100% free from phthalates. Available line weights: #7 to #12, all with full floating coating.   Tropical WF #7 & WF #8 The lighter line weights are designed for precise presentations and accurate shots at short to medium range. They load quickly, deliver tight loops and maintain excellent stability in windy conditions. Ideal for species such as bonefish, snook and smaller jacks, where control, speed and stealth are essential. The taper supports quick changes of direction and efficient handling when fishing from boat or wading flats. Tropical WF #9 & WF #10 These mid‑range line weights offer the perfect balance between power and finesse. Built to turn over larger flies and handle tougher winds, they excel when targeting permit, baby tarpon, redfish and similar species that require both accuracy and authority. The taper provides strong line turnover without feeling heavy, making it versatile for a wide range of tropical situations. Tropical WF #11 & WF #12 The heavyweights of the series deliver maximum lifting power and long‑range capability. Designed for large flies, fast pickups and decisive presentations to big, powerful fish such as migratory tarpon, GTs and heavy predators. The front taper provides exceptional turnover and stability, while the strong core and durable coating maintain performance under extreme heat and pressure. #7 12.0m 18g 30m #8 12.0m 20g 30m #9 12.0m 22g 30m #10 12.0m 27g 30m #11 12.0m 30g 30m #12 12.0m 32g 30m
