Rhizophagus irregularis) — 133,600 propagules/g  |  3,787,200 propagules/oz Glomus mosseae (syn. Funneliformis mosseae) — 33,400 propagules/g  |  946,800 propagules/oz Total Active Propagules per Bag (250g): Glomus intraradices: ~33,400,000 propagules Glomus mosseae: ~8,350,000 propagules Inert Ingredients — 70%: Diatomaceous Earth What Are Mycorrhizal Fungi? Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form symbiotic relationships with over 90% of terrestrial plant species. When colonizing plant roots, AMF extend the root system's effective surface area by up to 700x through hyphal networks, dramatically improving the plant's ability to access water, phosphorus, nitrogen, and micronutrients beyond the rhizosphere. Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae are among the most extensively researched and field-proven AMF species in commercial agriculture. Key Benefits ✅ Dramatically expands root surface area for improved nutrient and water uptake ✅ Enhances phosphorus, nitrogen, and micronutrient availability ✅ Improves drought tolerance and plant stress resilience ✅ Builds long-term soil biology and mycorrhizal networks season over season ✅ Reduces dependence on synthetic phosphorus fertilizers over time ✅ Compatible with organic and regenerative farming systems ✅ Extremely cost-effective at ~$12.00/acre for large-scale operations ✅ High propagule counts ensure reliable root colonization Application Application Rate: 0.21 oz (6g) per acre. Apply in-furrow at planting, as a seed treatment, or as a soil drench. For best results, ensure direct contact between the inoculant and the plant root system at the time of application. Compatible with standard granular application equipment. At 6g/acre, one 250g bag covers 42 acres. Dilute or blend with dry carrier material as needed for uniform distribution across larger areas. Contact Rocky Mountain BioAg® for application rate guidance and a customized program for your operation. Storage Store in a dark, dry, cool location between 40°F–77°F (4°C–25°C). Protect from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Improper storage may reduce propagule viability. Why Groundwork BioAg? Frequently Asked Questions What is the application rate for Rootella X? The application rate for Rootella X is 0.21 oz (6g) per acre. One 8.8 oz (250g) bag treats up to 42 acres. Apply in-furrow at planting, as a seed treatment, or as a soil drench. Contact Rocky Mountain BioAg® for a customized application program. What mycorrhizal species are in Rootella X and at what concentrations? Rootella X contains two species of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi: Glomus intraradices at 133,600 propagules/g (3,787,200 propagules/oz) and Glomus mosseae at 33,400 propagules/g (946,800 propagules/oz). The active ingredient is 30% of the formulation by weight, with 70% diatomaceous earth as the carrier. How many acres does one bag of Rootella X treat? One 8.8 oz (250g) bag of Rootella X treats up to 42 acres at 0.21 oz (6g) per acre, at a cost of approximately $12.00 per acre. What crops is Rootella X suitable for? Rootella X is suitable for a wide range of crops including corn, soybeans, wheat, vegetables, tree fruits, hemp, turf, and specialty crops. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi form symbiotic relationships with over 90% of terrestrial plant species. Note: mycorrhizal inoculants are not effective on Brassicas (e.g., canola, cabbage) or other non-host plant families. How does Rootella X compare to other mycorrhizal inoculants? Rootella X offers exceptionally high propagule counts — 133,600 propagules/g for Glomus intraradices — combined with a low per-acre cost of ~$12.00. Many competing products offer lower propagule counts at higher per-acre costs. The dual-species formulation also provides broader colonization potential across different soil types and crop systems. Is Rootella X compatible with fungicides or synthetic fertilizers? Mycorrhizal fungi can be sensitive to certain fungicides, particularly those with broad-spectrum antifungal activity. Avoid applying fungicides directly to the inoculant or treated seed. High rates of soluble phosphorus fertilizers can suppress mycorrhizal colonization. Consult Rocky Mountain BioAg® for compatibility guidance specific to your program. Is Rootella X OMRI listed or approved for organic use? Groundwork BioAg's Rootella products are formulated for use in organic and regenerative farming systems. Check current label documentation and OMRI listing status for the most up-to-date certification information. How should Rootella X be stored? Store between 40°F–77°F (4°C–25°C) in a dark, dry location. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Protect from direct sunlight. Improper storage can reduce propagule viability and product efficacy. How quickly will I see results from Rootella X? Mycorrhizal colonization begins within days of application under favorable soil conditions. Visible agronomic benefits — including improved root development, nutrient uptake, and stress tolerance — typically become apparent within one growing season. Long-term use builds persistent mycorrhizal networks that compound in effectiveness over multiple seasons.
