Griva - Vintage Medallion Rug - 4'5 X 7'4

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece represents authentic Anatolian heritage, featuring a flatwoven construction and faded patina. It showcases rich abrash detail and an overdyed finish, offering a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave with a soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, sun-bleached tones. About This Style Vintage rugs are curated to evoke an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. Distressed vintage pieces typically undergo an overdying process, where a rug is submerged in a single-colour bath to reveal ghost traces of the original pattern beneath. Medallion rugs feature a dominant central motif, such as a circle, oval, or diamond, which anchors the composition and is frequently framed by a structurally distinct border. Where It Works The flatweave construction ensures this rug lies flat against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and living rooms. This low-profile design is compatible with underfloor heating and functions effectively as a layering piece over larger rugs or hard flooring surfaces. Why Choose This Rug? — Features a central medallion motif with a distinct turquoise colour palette and distressed character. — Crafted from a cotton and polyester blend; cotton provides natural breathability, while polyester ensures moisture resistance and everyday durability. — Flatwoven construction creates a no-pile surface that is easy to maintain and suitable for high-traffic environments. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — The reversible, low-pile design is perfectly suited for underfloor heating and seamless layering in any room.
