Hareline Gritty Brass Beads

Gritty Brass Beads from Hareline deliver a realistic, buggy edge to your flies. This pack of 20 beads features a textured "sandpaper" finish that diffuses underwater light rather than reflecting it. The matte texture mimics natural organic matter, making it a reliable choice for larvae, nymphs, and wet flies—the kind of edge that fools wary fish. With a precision countersunk hole, these beads slide smoothly around the bend of standard and barbless hooks without snagging. Whether you’re matching the hatch with natural, muted tones or triggering aggressive strikes with vibrant attractor colors, the Gritty Brass series delivers the right balance of weight, flash, and texture. Textured Finish: Unique grit coating reduces harsh flash and mimics underwater textures. Countersunk Design: Bored on one side to easily slide over the bend of most fly-tying hooks. Versatile Weight: Adds the ideal amount of sink to nymphs and wet flies while preserving natural drift. Hook Compatibility: Slides around standard and barbless hooks without snagging. Quantity: 20 beads per package. Consider adding a pack to your tying kit and see how the grit texture performs on your water.
