Before use, check the grind wheel for any damage or cracks, and never exceed the recommended speed for your equipment. Q. Is a Grinding Wheel the Same as a Grinding Disc?  A. No, they're not the same. Grinding discs are thinner and primarily used for cutting through materials, whereas grinder wheels are thicker and suited for heavy-duty jobs like sharpening and grinding. Q. What is the Difference Between Cutting Wheels and Grinding Wheels? A. Thicker grinding wheels are employed to shape, smooth, and grind metal surfaces. Cutting wheels, also known as cut-off wheels, are designed to precisely cut through metal because they are narrower. Grinding on a cutting wheel can harm the wheel and be dangerous.
