GrimmSpeed Short Shifter and Tallboy Shift Knob Bundle

GrimmSpeed STI Short Throw Shifter + Tallboy Shift Knob Bundle (2004–2021 STI) Some drivers want the tightness of a short shifter but don’t want to lose leverage or comfort. Pairing the GrimmSpeed STI Short Throw Shifter with the GrimmSpeed Tallboy Shift Knob creates a setup that feels precise yet effortless. You get shorter throws and cleaner engagement, while the taller knob keeps shifts smooth and easy during both daily driving and aggressive pulls. Why this bundle works Shorter throws without extra effort: The GrimmSpeed STI Short Throw Shifter is a complete bolt-in redesign that reduces shift throw (adjustable 0%–26.3%) and refines gear engagement. Each shift feels deliberate and mechanical instead of vague or rubbery. Leverage that works with the shifter: The Tallboy Shift Knob increases the distance between your hand and the pivot point. That extra leverage reduces the effort required to engage gears, making the shorter throws feel smoother and more natural. Consistent long-term precision: Sealed Enduro MAX ball bearings are designed for heavy pivot loads and help maintain accurate shifts over time while resisting contamination and wear. Comfortable daily drivability: The taller knob position keeps your hand closer to the steering wheel, improving ergonomics during commuting and traffic while still feeling excellent during spirited driving. Adjustable driving position: Fine-tune the knob height (+0.3” to −1.0” vs stock) so the shifter sits exactly where you want relative to your seat and steering wheel. OEM-friendly install and fitment This setup installs cleanly with no console trimming required, maintains OEM reverse lockout functionality, and keeps the neutral position close to stock even at aggressive throw reduction settings. It looks and functions like a factory-intended upgrade. Fitment: 2004–2021 Subaru STI (6-speed) Shift knob thread: M12x1.25 (also compatible with many Subaru 5- and 6-speed applications)
