Grimmlore Tartan Playing Cards

Grimmlore Tartan Playing Cards invite you into a whimsical world inspired by eventyr — old-world tales of wonder and imagination. Drawing from Dan & Dave’s original Vintage Plaid series, this edition reimagines classic tartan patterning in a vibrant, storybook palette. Look closely and you’ll discover a hidden troupe of flower sprites at play within a garden of earthly delight. Their presence is subtle yet mischievous, suggesting that imagination lives just beneath the surface of everyday things. The hand-drawn face cards, inspired by turn-of-the-20th-century illustration, lend the deck a nostalgic elegance that feels both antique and enchanted. Printed by the United States Playing Card Company on premium thin-crushed stock, the handling is smooth and refined. The deck is housed in a linen-textured tuck box with gold-embossed accents — a tactile detail that enhances its vintage character. For those who enjoy exploring symbolism through playing cards, Grimmlore carries a quiet folkloric energy. The interplay of tartan geometry and hidden sprites offers a charming backdrop for intuitive storytelling, imaginative readings, or reflective moments between games. A deck where pattern meets poetry.
