Grehisa - Vintage Distressed Rug - 6'0 X 9'3

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece preserves Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction featuring a faded patina and abrash detail. With an overdyed finish, low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, sun-bleached tones, it captures a unique yellow aesthetic. About This Style Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. Distressed vintage rugs specifically utilise surface treatments that mimic age, such as erased pile areas that reveal the base structure. This is frequently achieved through an overdyed process, where a rug is submerged in a saturated colour bath, leaving ghost traces of the original pattern visible beneath the wash, referencing the tradition of mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving. Where It Works The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie completely flat, making it highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets or placement in rooms with underfloor heating. Why Choose This Rug? — Features a vibrant yellow palette with deliberate distressed markings and ghost-pattern details that reflect 70s craftsmanship. — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend; the cotton offers natural breathability, while the polyester ensures long-term durability and moisture resistance. — The no-pile, flatwoven construction provides a stable surface that resists shedding and is easy to clean in high-traffic environments. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — Highly versatile for practical use, including placement over underfloor heating or as a base for layering smaller textiles in larger rooms.
