Greer Moonshot Germanium Preamp

Greer Moonshot Germanium Preamp The Greer Moonshot Germanium Preamp: Pure Vintage Boost Character Vintage Germanium Preamp Tone The Greer Moonshot Germanium Preamp delivers classic boost character inspired by vintage germanium preamp circuits from the golden age of guitar tone. A Germanium AC128 transistor imparts a lively and responsive texture to your signal, and results in a rich harmonic character that enhances your guitar and amplifier rather than masking their natural voice. This pedal is designed for players who want to push the front end of their amplifier in a musical way. Whether you are chasing vintage inspired sparkle or a thicker driven sound, the Moonshot adds dimension and touch sensitivity that makes every note feel more alive. Treble Booster to Midrange Power A simple but powerful control layout makes the Moonshot incredibly versatile. The Treble Mid control lets players shape the overall voice of the pedal. Dial it toward the treble side for classic cutting boost tones, or roll it back to introduce additional low end and midrange girth. This flexibility allows the Moonshot to move easily from traditional treble booster territory into thicker and more aggressive tonal textures. The added midrange punch can give your amplifier a muscular growl that responds beautifully to picking dynamics. Push Your Amp Into Musical Overdrive The Master Volume control gives the Moonshot the ability to drive an amplifier into natural overdrive. By pushing the front end of your amp, the pedal creates snarly breakup and expressive sustain that feels organic and responsive. This type of boost works exceptionally well with tube amplifiers and stacks beautifully with other pedals, making it a powerful tool for building layered tones while maintaining clarity and articulation. Smart Circuit Design The Moonshot uses a voltage inverter that allows the germanium transistor to run in proper positive ground mode while still operating from a standard negative ground power supply. This design preserves the classic behavior of vintage germanium circuits while maintaining modern pedalboard compatibility. The pedal also features true bypass switching to keep your signal path clean when the effect is disengaged. Built for Real World Pedalboards With a compact layout and straightforward controls, the Moonshot is designed to be easy to integrate into any rig. Its wide tonal range makes it equally useful as a subtle tone enhancer or as a powerful boost that pushes your amp into expressive overdrive. Whether used as the first stage in a gain chain or as a dynamic solo boost, the Moonshot offers a wide palette of vintage inspired tones.
