Pea - Green Arrow seeds

The Green Arrow Pea Seeds are premium, open-pollinated heirloom seeds of the Pisum sativum variety, ideal for organic vegetable gardening in the USA. These seeds produce the Green Arrow Pea, a semi-dwarf, frost-tolerant shelling pea known for its high yield and compact growth habit. The plants typically reach 2 to 3 feet in height and do not require staking or support structures. Once mature, they produce numerous 4 to 5-inch pods containing 9 to 11 tender, sweet peas, suitable for fresh consumption or cooking. This product is excellent for gardeners seeking high-yield, space-efficient peas. It is well-suited for container gardening, raised beds, or traditional garden plots. The Green Arrow Pea Seeds are perfect for home cooks, organic farmers, and enthusiasts aiming to diversify their vegetable garden without exceeding budget constraints. It is recommended to practice crop rotation with compatible companion plants like carrots, cucumbers, or herbs to promote healthy soil and pest management. Germination occurs within 7-21 days at soil temperatures of 40F-85F. Planting depth of approximately 1 inch and spacing of 2-3 inches between plants, and 18-24 inches between rows. The Green Arrow Pea Seeds are suitable for a variety of soil types, including clay, sandy, loamy, or chalky soils, with a pH range of 5.5 to 7.0. Full sun exposure is required for optimal growth. The plants reach maturity within 65 to 70 days after planting and are frost tolerant, making them suitable for both cool and warm weather growing seasons. Care for the plants involves natural watering, minimal pruning, and mulching for moisture retention. The seeds and plants are resilient with proper maintenance, and germination and plant health are supported by well-drained, nutrient-rich soil.
