Gray Matters Bookends by Lyon Beton

The Gray Matters Bookends by Lyon Béton, designed by Bertrand Jayr, offer a clever and artistic twist on traditional book organization. Crafted from fiber-reinforced concrete, these bookends take the form of two brain hemispheres, symbolizing the "gray matter" that houses our knowledge and thoughts. Their design not only serves as a functional tool to keep books upright but also adds a touch of intellectual whimsy to any space. These bookends are finished in a natural gray concrete look and are treated with a colorless, water- and oil-repellent matte varnish, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. They are suitable for both indoor and covered outdoor use, making them versatile additions to various settings. Whether placed in a home library, office, or reading nook, the Gray Matters Bookends combine functionality with a playful nod to the power of the human mind. Made in France by Lyon Beton.
