Grateful Dead - Dead Set

Dead Set (1981) delivers the high-voltage energy of the Grateful Dead’s early 1980s concerts with razor-sharp precision. Released on Arista Records and produced by Dan Healy and Betty Cantor-Jackson, this live double album captures the band’s tight musicianship and fearless improvisation from shows in San Francisco and New York. Standout performances of “Franklin’s Tower,” “Fire on the Mountain,” and “Deal” showcase the Dead’s ability to blend rock, blues, and jam-band freedom into something timeless. Dead Set stands as one of the best Grateful Dead live albums for anyone seeking the band’s pure concert power.
