Granular Lime

Granular lime is crushed limestone into small, coarse particles, different from the powdery pulverized lime and the pellets of pelletized lime. It is primarily used to naturally raise the pH of soil.  Soil pH directly controls how easily plants can absorb essential nutrients from the soil. When soil pH is too high or too low, it can lead to nutrient deficiencies and poor growth. A good target for most plants is 6.0 – 7.0. Compared to other limes, granular lime is much less messy when applied and is typically cheaper than other options. It is lawn-spreader friendly and easy to apply.
