Grammar Galaxy: Nebula Volume 1 Text

Nebula is the perfect place to start for beginning readers and writers or students who need a grammar refresher. It’s also the best level for families who will be learning together.  The Grammar Galaxy: Adventures in Language Arts Nebula text is part of  a complete language arts curriculum for beginning readers (advanced first graders, second graders, and students who are just beginning to read). Teachers read the text and provide as much help as possible for students who are not yet reading at a strong 3rd-grade level.  Short, comical stories teach concepts in a memorable way. Students discover the havoc that ensues when the evil Gremlin tampers with the English language. Fiction books are labeled as nonfiction and begin coming to life. A re- virus is introduced into the computer system causing things to be repeated endlessly. Rhyming poems and books are ruined when Word Harmony matches words that don’t rhyme. The royal English children invite students to become fellow grammar guardians in order to save the galaxy from crises like these. Teachers read one of the mysteries to their students. Vocabulary words are defined in the text. Discussion questions follow each lesson to check for understanding. Students then complete a corresponding mission in the separate Mission Manual that reinforces the concepts.
