Grade 2 USGI L-2B Flight Jacket

Designed as a simplified and lighter-weight accompaniment for the MA-1, the L-2A and later L-2B jackets were designed to provide airmen with an intermediate-weight jacket for the jet age. Similar to other Korean War-era flight jackets, the early L-2A was manufactured in a blue-dominant nylon, proving less than ideal for downed airmen trying to remain "incognito." The L-2B is the second and more common iteration, implementing several improvements. Made with a sneakier green nylon shell, L-2B would give the jacket a more generous cut and a thicker (sturdier) nylon shell.
