The creation of Gracias a Dios Tepextate Mezcal is a labor of love and time. The wild Tepextate agave takes over 25 years to mature in the arid Oaxacan hills before it's ready for harvest. Once collected, the colossal piñas are slow-roasted in traditional underground conical ovens, crushed by a stone tahona, and naturally fermented in open-air pine vats. Overseen by fourth-generation maestros mezcaleros, the double distillation in copper stills ensures the purest expression of this magnificent agave, resulting in a mezcal that is as untamed as it is refined. This spirit is an exceptional choice for those looking to explore the more exotic and highly prized varieties of agave. Elevate your collection and embark on a remarkable tasting journey with this unique bottle. TASTING NOTES Nose: Fresh green bell pepper, wet earth, balanced minerality, and subtle herbal notes.
