The shovel comes apart at a pinned coupler, turning the top portion into a very handy 32oz. hammer with a brass fitting on the end for help with those tent and awning stakes. The coupler design is anti-rotational and fully welded for added durability like the rest of the shovel. The Brass Fitting for the Hammer is also replaceable when it gets worn out!
