Goslings Spirited Seas Dark Rum

This is a premium dark Bermuda rum blend initially aged in bourbon barrels, then crafted aboard a ship for over 59,920 nautical miles across the Atlantic—from Bermuda to the U.S. mid-Atlantic and back—maturing further as the barrels rocked with ocean tides. Aged and finished this way, it embraces its environment, infusing complexity from movement, salt air, and fluctuating climates. Tasting Notes Appearance: A deep mahogany-auburn hue.  Nose: Subtle oak and warm allspice, building toward rich notes of salted caramel.  Palate: A complex interplay of stone fruit, caramel apple, and salted dark chocolate beneath a layer of warm spice and oak.  Finish: Smooth and lingering, with spiced dark oak, a refined briny touch, and a clean tail. Critical Acclaim Tastings.com awarded it 93 points (Gold Medal)—labeling it "exceptional" and superb sipping or cocktail rum. BottlerRaiders users rate it around 93, describing it as “complex and flavorful,” perfect neat, with a cigar, or in premium cocktails.  Distiller app (community review) notes the aroma is “pleasant,” sweet with molasses and vanilla, followed by a tangy, barrel-driven spice balancing the sweetness; suggests it works well over ice or in a Dark ’n Stormy.  RumRatings reviewers mentioned its dry profile with bourbon-like cocoa and spice; very smooth for the 44% ABV, especially when iced.
