Not only are they by far the largest Setter, they also have enough energy and drive for six regular dogs. To top it off, they are a solid family dog and usually get along with other dogs and even cats.  While your active Gordon Setter may be one heckuva field and water dog, even they can use some TLC.  Gordon Setters often have dry noses, like many of their spaniel and retriever cousins, plus, they can also have rough paws, bug bites, and the occasional itchy skin issue.
