Carved into the natural curvature of the stone is a thick bamboo trunk, with smaller stalks growing on its sides, and a snail, hidden in its shell, sitting on top. The end of the carving is marked by a chain of circles around the base of the bamboo. Symbolic Meaning: Bamboo is one of the Four Gentlemen, and the spirit of summer.
