Gonzo Grape Dahlia

Gonzo Grape produces striking deep purple blooms measuring 3 inches across, ideal for cutting and arrangement work. This formal decorative variety reaches 4 feet in height with exceptionally long stems, making it a premium choice for florists and serious gardeners. The substantial flower size and stem length deliver excellent vase life and visual impact in any display. How To Plant Dahlias To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on. As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
