Gonzaga Silk Scrunchie

Le donne, i cavallier, l'arme, gli amori": the spectacle of design and light, weapons and decorations of one of the most famous families of the Italian Renaissance. The House of Gonzaga, hailing from Mantua in Lombardy, Italy, reigned over the city from 1328 to 1708. With a saint, twelve cardinals, and fourteen bishops in their lineage, the family boasts a prestigious legacy. Two descendants of the Gonzaga clan ascended the ranks of the Holy Roman Empire as empresses (Eleonora Gonzaga and Eleonora Gonzaga-Nevers), while one became Queen of Poland and Grand Duchess of Lithuania in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (Marie Louise Gonzaga).
