I reclaimed these birds to embroider onto a pre-loved blouse made from a tuxedo jacket a friend was giving away. I chose topaz embroidery thread because it creates a beautiful contrast while maintaining a serene feel. It was hand-embroidered by Paula Andrea during 14 hours of craftwomanship in Medellin, Colombia. All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, designed by repurposing materials and supporting craftwomanship.
