Goldenseal Tincture

Supports mucous membranes of the upper respiratory, digestive, and urinary tract.* Botanical Name: Hydrastis canadensis. Part Used: Fresh root. About Goldenseal Tincture: We work directly with a certified organic Goldenseal grower who provides us with vibrant, freshly harvested roots that are infused immediately in organic alcohol upon arrival. This bitter herb has a deep affinity for the mucous membranes that line the digestive system (from mouth to large intestine), as well as the upper respiratory, vagina, and urinary systems of the body. Goldenseal supports a healthy immune response in these areas of the body and encourages a healthy microbiome. Goldenseal contains the alkaloid, Berberine. Our Goldenseal Tincture is strong tasting and of the highest quality. Garden Notes: Goldenseal is a beautiful Eastern woodland native that is endangered in the wild. Our woodland garden has Goldenseal, Blue Cohosh, and Black Cohosh plants growing, each very special medicine plants for Eastern woodland Indigenous herbalists and healers. Please only support tincture makers who grow these plants or purchase them from other organic growers. **Avena donates a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of Goldenseal Tincture to the People's Medicine Reclamation Project, a scholarship fund for BIPOC folks to access the offerings of Rootwork Herbals.
