Golden Rutile Ring

Golden rutilated quartz cabochon set into an adjustable sterling silver ring.  Rutilated quartz is a type of quartz that contains needle-like inclusions of rutile, which is a titanium dioxide mineral. These inclusions are often golden or reddish in color, and are sometimes called "rutiles". Rutilated quartz is valued for its inclusions, which can be distributed randomly, in bundles, or in star-like arrangements. The inclusions can be sparse or dense enough to make the quartz almost opaque.
