This chromolithograph cigar label for Golden Grit brand captures the artistry that defined American tobacco advertising in the early twentieth century. The central image showcases a beautifully rendered bundle of tobacco leaves, wrapped in the traditional manner of a curing 'hand,' set against a luminous yellow glow that suggests the golden quality promised by the brand name. Produced by Consolidated Litho. Corp. of Carle Place, Long Island, the label demonstrates the sophisticated multi-color stone lithography that made cigar packaging some of the most visually elaborate commercial printing of its era. The Art Nouveau influenced decorative elements, including the ornate HLC monogram crest and delicate floral flourishes, frame the bold dimensional typography announcing the 'New Large Sweet Tip Size.' A compelling example of turn-of-the-century American commercial art, this label represents the brief golden age when thousands of cigar brands competed for attention through ever more elaborate packaging. A standout piece for collectors of tobacciana or chromolithograph ephemera. Size: 7.0" x 8.0" Condition: Very Good, Age-appropriate wear. Paper toning in accordance with the print's age. Marks/stains as per photo. Wear around the edges and minor paper loss might be present in some prints. Please refer to each print's image to get a better understanding of the condition.
