Golden Barberry

Set Your Yard Aglow With the Golden Barberry  Brighten your landscape with the glowing foliage of Golden Barberry, also known as 'Aurea.' This deciduous shrub stands out from spring through fall with vibrant golden-yellow leaves that bring lasting color to foundation plantings, borders, and mixed shrub beds. Its naturally dense, rounded shape makes it an easy choice for adding structure, contrast, and year-round interest to the garden. In spring, small clusters of soft yellow flowers appear along the branches, followed by bright red berries in fall that add seasonal color. Golden Barberry thrives in full sun to partial shade, with the richest golden foliage developing in sunny locations. It adapts to most well-drained soils, tolerates drought once established, and is deer resistant, making it a dependable, low-maintenance landscape shrub.
