Rosette is 3/8″ wide by 9/16″ high Gallery Byzantium’s Byzantine Rose gold station necklace features a rosette design which is woven throughout the carved marble slabs adorning the iconostas and walls of Hosios Loukas Monastery, an architectural masterpiece of Middle Byzantine art and architecture surviving from the early 11th century in Phokis, Greece. The ornamental rosette derives from the natural shape of the botanical rosette formed by leaves radiating out from the stem of a plant and visible even after the flower has withered.
