Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree

Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree: Sweet Citrus That Sticks Around Enjoy fresh mandarins long after most citrus trees are finished. The Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree, also known as "Golden Nugget," is a late-ripening variety that produces sweet, richly flavored fruit with an easy-to-peel, bumpy rind. Its fruit ripens in spring and holds exceptionally well on the tree through summer, giving you weeks of homegrown harvests without rushing to pick. Why You'll Love the Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree Late-ripening variety extends your citrus harvest into spring and summer. Rich, sweet flavor with an easy-to-peel, textured rind. Seedless fruit under normal conditions (three or fewer seeds); may develop seeds if cross-pollinated with other citrus. Self-fertile, so only one tree is needed to produce fruit. Excellent fruit-holding ability lets you harvest over an extended period. Remarkably frost tolerant compared to many mandarin varieties. Trees typically begin bearing fruit in March. Ideal for edible landscapes, backyard orchards, and patio containers. Can be grown in containers and moved indoors during winter in colder climates. Gold Nugget is an excellent choice for gardeners looking to stretch their mandarin season. For even longer harvests, plant early-, mid-, and late-ripening mandarin varieties together to enjoy fresh fruit for months. Best suited for USDA Zones 9-10, where it can be planted in the ground. Protect trees when temperatures fall below 32°F. In Zones 4-8, grow Gold Nugget Mandarin in a container and bring it indoors for the winter, making it easy to enjoy homegrown citrus even in colder climates. Bring home the Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree and keep the sweet citrus harvest going long after the season would normally end. Please note: This tree ships in a citra pot—a tall, narrow container that promotes vertical root growth and prevents root circling.
