Gold (Chubby Peanut) Micro Chubby

The Micro Chubby Chernobyl – Gold, nicknamed the Chubby Peanut, is a downsized version of the classic Chubby Chernobyl pattern, designed to imitate small stoneflies, hoppers, and other terrestrials. This gold-bodied variant is particularly effective in clear water or on pressured fish that have seen larger attractors. Its low-profile, double-foam construction ensures excellent floatation without spooking wary trout. Featuring a subtle gold body, splayed rubber legs, and a visible wing post for easy tracking, this pattern excels in late summer and early fall when fish are feeding on smaller terrestrials. The Micro Chubby is also a great choice for dry-dropper rigs, providing enough buoyancy to support small nymphs while keeping your presentation natural and clean.
