GoJak® Inner Ratchet & Axle G6313

The inner ratchet is a key component of the GoJak vehicle positioning dolly. Engineered for efficiency, it converts motion from the foot pedal into smooth, incremental lifts. This mechanism allows users to safely and easily raise a vehicle tire with minimal physical strain. What Is the Inner Axle on a GoJak? The inner axle is a hardened steel shaft located within the main frame of the GoJak. It functions as the rotational axis for the jack’s lifting mechanism. When the foot pedal is engaged, the inner axle transmits force to the left-side rollers, allowing the dolly to lift and lower the tire precisely.   With every pump of the pedal, the ratchet mechanism raises the dolly arms incrementally, locking securely into place to prevent rollback or slippage. This ensures safe operation when positioning or moving a vehicle. The inner axle acts as a structural support cradle for the lifted tire. It is raised indirectly via the ratchet-driven motion of the dolly frame. This interaction allows for: Controlled elevation of the wheel. Precise maneuverability of the vehicle on smooth surfaces. Secure, balanced support during movement. To maintain peak performance: Lubricate lightly over time, especially if disassembled for repair or inspection. Regularly inspect the axle for wear or misalignment. Damaged or worn axles can cause uneven lifting or failure to engage the roller arms, potentially compromising safety. The GoJak inner ratchet and axle system is essential for safe, effective vehicle lifting and movement. Understanding its purpose, function, and upkeep ensures longer life and optimal performance of your GoJak dolly.
