GOEF: 1st SO Squad T-Shirt Military Green

The Gathering of Eagles Foundation is honored to recognize United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Russell E. “Russ” Tharp as a 2020 Air & Space Power Legend. Lt Col Tharp embodies the edict of ‘a quiet professional’ whose distinguished service as an MC-130 pilot developed tactics and techniques that were implemented in the attempted 1980 Tehran hostage rescue and later became normal operation procedures for Special Operations Pilots. His heroic efforts during Operation Eagle Claw directly triggered the normalization of Special Operations Forces with the establishment of United States Special Operations Command. The GOEF and RangerUp present this shirt in honor of Lt. Col Russ Tharp and the legacy of the 1st Special Operations Squadron. Proceeds from GOEF shirt sales are placed directly back into the GOE Future Eagles Scholarship Program. We invite you to help us honor airpower’s heritage and forge future aviation leaders through your purchase or individual donation. Please visit us at www.goefoundation.org to learn more.
