God Doesn't Hate Me After All, Greg Willits

For centuries, St. Louis de Montfort’s The Love of Eternal Wisdom has been treasured by the Church but left unread by lay Catholics, especially in modern times. Its mystical language is seen as daunting, its insights obscured by archaic eighteenth-century prose. Now Catholic author and Rosary Army founder Greg Willits breathes new life into this hidden gem by weaving his own moving life story into de Montfort’s inspired words.  More than a book, this is a spiritual companion for the wounded — for anyone weighed down by trauma, burnout, doubt, or dryness of soul. It is in this volume that the first seeds of de Montfort’s Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary crackle to life, revealing the most direct path to Eternal Wisdom Himself — Jesus Christ, who longs to embrace you in His radical love and healing mercy.  In these pages, you will walk alongside Greg through his struggles, failures, and moments of grace — and discover how de Montfort’s timeless wisdom speaks directly to the wounds and questions of our own age: suffering, humility, trust, identity, and the aching desire to be loved by God. You will learn: How to receive God’s love even when it feels unbearable Four practices St. Louis de Montfort offers for attaining Eternal Wisdom Six kinds of mortification that draw the soul into deeper union with God Five of the countless benefits that Eternal Wisdom pours out in souls How to recognize Christ’s presence, even when He seems absent Why entrusting your life to Mary brings you the greatest treasure: the Incarnate Wisdom Himself Each chapter includes probing questions to help you apply de Montfort’s insights personally, along with bonus resources to deepen your journey. And through Greg’s candid storytelling — raw, vulnerable, and shot through with mercy — you’ll see and feel what it’s like when God’s grace breaks through ordinary struggles to bring about extraordinary transformation.  “Writing this book often felt like crafting my own Confessions [by St. Augustine],” Greg admits. “I laid bare my flaws, failures, and hopes with uncomfortable honesty to show Christ’s mercy at work.”
