Glitz Chest

Whenever Gabe and I take a road trip, we make it a point to stop at thrift stores and antique shops on the way, just to see what various towns have to offer. We hit the jackpot a few weeks back when Gabe discovered a sweet little chest underneath a smattering of coffee mugs, kitchen canisters, and salt shakers. (He always looks high and low, over and under at these places, and he is richly rewarded for it.) It was low and slight, more the size of a nightstand than a dresser, and it was capped with a stunning vintage mirror. I had to make our own version: the Glitz Chest. It’s crafted of estate-grown mahogany with a soft gray finish. The drawer faces are detailed with dainty molding and black ring pulls for contrast. Imported.
