Glenfarclas 105 1990's

Experience the legendary Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength Scotch, a powerful expression bottled at natural cask strength to capture its full, unadulterated character. This Highland Single Malt, a true sherry bomb, delivers intense flavors and a warming finish for the discerning whisky enthusiast. Tasting Notes Nose: Given that this is a single malt Scotch, not a bourbon, the nose would typically present rich sherry notes, dried fruits like figs and raisins, hints of Christmas cake, orange zest, and a subtle nutty undertone. There would also be a warming spice, perhaps ginger and cinnamon, and a malty sweetness with a touch of heather. Palate: Again, acknowledging it's Scotch, the palate would likely be powerful and complex due to the cask strength. Expect an initial burst of sweet sherry, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee beans. This would be followed by a wave of spices – black pepper, nutmeg, and clove – interwoven with a chewy, malty character and a pleasant oaky dryness. Rich fruitcake and marzipan notes would develop. Finish: The finish, for a Scotch of this nature, would be long, warm, and lingering. Expect a delightful interplay of drying oak, fading sherry sweetness, a continued spice presence, and a gentle smoky or leathery quality that fades slowly, leaving a pleasant warmth in the chest and a hint of dark fruit. About the Distillery Glenfarclas, established in 1836 and located in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, is one of the few remaining independent, family-owned distilleries in Scotland. Six generations of the Grant family have passionately operated the distillery, renowned for its traditional sherry-cask maturation, producing bold and complex single malt whiskies.
