Glacier Ice Axe

The lightweight, reliable companion for expansive glacier travel. The Petzl Glacier Ice Axe is the quintessential tool for climbers and mountaineers navigating rolling glaciers and technical alpine snow. Designed to be remarkably lightweight without sacrificing penetration, it easily bites into firm snow and hard ice when you need high-quality anchoring the most. Its carefully contoured head rests comfortably in the hand for hours of walking in the piolet-canne position, while the durable steel adze efficiently carves out steps when the slope suddenly steepens. Whether you are roping up for a crevasse crossing or executing a textbook self-arrest, this axe delivers the dependable security required for serious mountain travel.
