Giro Sutton Mips Helmet

Urban commuters looking for a high-performance, stylish, excellent helmet packed with features will love the Sutton, and if you ever have a crash, you'll appreciate the addition of the Mips technology in this model, too. The Sutton Mips has a low-profile skater/BMX aesthetic which is unassuming and practical. But some innovative add-ons make this helmet a real winner. A removable soft visor acts like a cycling cap, providing a little shade on sunny days and protection from the elements should the weather turn. And an integrated light clip on the back of the helmet is a thoughtful touch and means you'll be illuminated on whichever bike you hop on, as long as you bring along your Sutton Mips. Eight vents bring air into the helmet and across your scalp to keep you from overheating. And one of the airflow vents doubles as a reinforced “Lock Port” – just slide your U-lock through the helmet and lock it up with your bike, worry-free . Thanks to Mips (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) technology, the Savant Mips helmet's sliding layer and sliding enablers, your head will be better protected in a crash. Should you hit your head, the helmet will dissipate more of the rotational forces before they reach your head and your brain. The helmet mimics the cerebrospinal fluid in your head  – your body's own brain protection system. Rotational impacts happen, and your head is better protected with Mips – simple as that. Giro uses its In Mold technology to fuse the EPS liner to the hard, protective polycarbonate shell for a setup that's both lighter weight and stronger. Reflective heathered webbing goes under the chin for a soft-against-the-skin feel. Giro's Cord Loc fit system supplies simple, drawstring fit adjustment to keep the helmet in place. The Giro Sutton Mips weighs in at 375 grams in a size large. Mips technology is no longer reserved for high-end road and MTB lids – commuters rejoice! Pick up a Giro Sutton Mips helmet and ride with confidence, and in style. Complies with the US CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmet for Persons Age 5 and Older
