Crystal Tip: Girasol quartz is a lovely milky-silky crystal who’s unique appearance is attributed to a number of microscopic inclusions including aluminum, Dumortierite, rutile and even micro-bubbles. I have been unable to find any lab backed evidence of water bubbles in these stones but some do claim it. Girasol quartz is found in Brazil and Madagascar and should not be confused with the opals they share a name with.
