Gibson Les Paul Junior - TV Yellow

Gibson Les Paul Junior - TV Yellow Hey, buckle up and plug in, because this isn't just a guitar—it’s a straight-up piece of rock history distilled into its purest form. The Les Paul Junior was born in 1954 as Gibson's "student model," but players quickly realized its simplicity was its superpower, making it one of the most beloved slab-bodied guitars ever made. The all-Mahogany construction of the body and neck forms a resonant foundation, giving you that rich, woody sustain and powerful midrange punch that defines classic Gibson tone. With a '50s Vintage profile neck, this Junior feels perfectly chunky and comfortable, giving you plenty of wood to grab onto as you deliver those crushing chords and ripping leads. What truly gives the Junior its voice is the iconic Dogear P-90 pickup stationed at the bridge. This isn't your average single-coil; the P-90 delivers a biting clarity and gritty snarl that sits perfectly between the chime of a Fender single-coil and the thickness of a humbucker. Hand-wired controls featuring an Orange Drop capacitor mean you get maximum tonal flexibility—roll back the volume for sparkling cleans, or dime it for a raw, uncompromising overdrive that cuts through any mix. This no-frills setup has powered some legendary tones for players like Mountain’s Leslie West, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, and even John Lennon. It's built for those who know that one great pickup is all you need. The legendary "TV Yellow" finish is the icing on the cake, originally developed to look great on black-and-white television broadcasts. Finished in a beautiful Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer, this guitar is ready to breathe and age naturally, developing its own unique character over years of playing. Anchored by a rock-solid Wraparound bridge and Vintage Deluxe tuners, this Les Paul Junior is a lean, mean, tonal machine that honors its historic legacy while offering a reliable workhorse for today's musician. It's the ultimate rock and roll rebellion. Why Buy A Guitar From Palen Music Center? Palen Music Center has a wide range of unique guitars to enhance the sound of your music!
