This vintage 1908 Gibson A-3 Mandolin is a beauty, here with its original amber finish and pineapple tailpiece with only some wear from over a century of playing. The Spruce top and Birch back and sides are bound as well as the Ebony, radiused fingerboard. The tuners have been replaced with new Stew Mac vintage tuners with a 15:1 ratio, and the bridge has been replaced with an adjustable one. The neck is straight and check out the curlicue inlay on the headstock - very cool. Most importantly, it sounds wonderful, with a clear, distinct tone. In Very Good condition overall, this 1908 Gibson A-3 Mandolin has many, many playing years ahead. With non-original rectangular hard case. Serial #8659. Browse All Mandolins
