Giant Gibeon Meteorite Slice with Widmanstatten Patterns

This Giant Gibeon Meteorite Slice with Widmanstatten Patterns measures 5.375" in length and weighs 394 grams, .87 pounds, or 13.9 ounces. You can see the red coloration imparted by the presence of large amounts of iron oxide on the surface of the slice. This remarkable specimen is both a mineralogical collector's item and a Lightworker's power tool that can be placed on your altar to serve as a focal point for meditation and energy work. This gorgeous Gibeon specimen has resided on an altar in our home for nearly twenty years, and now it is time for it to travel to a new space.  The Gibeon meteorite entered the Earth's atmosphere some 30,000 years ago in the skies above Namibia. The fireball separated into thousands of smaller pieces, scattering fragments across a wide area of western Africa. The Gibeon, aka the King of Irons, is composed of a denser, heavier form of iron than any specimens found on Earth, containing 92% iron, 7% nickel, 1% cobalt, and a mix of rare elements in smaller quantities.  This interstellar iron alloy can be bent, folded, brazed and welded. These unique properties made it possible for people in the fall area to craft spear points and tools from the meteorite's fragments, thousands of years before Europe entered the Iron Age. This slice of the Gibeon Meteorite has been polished smooth and etched with nitric acid, revealing a tartan of crisscrossing angular lines created during the meteorite's formative years and during the thousands of years spent in deep space. These lines are known as the Widmanstatten Patterns.  Our experience in working and meditating with meteorite specimens and in wearing meteorites is truly inspiring and that is why we have decided to make them available to our customers, many of whom also meditate, work in the healing arts or want to participate in creating the new paradigm shift on earth. We find the Gibeon to be not only a repository of Cosmic Energy from deep space but also deeply grounding, which makes these stones powerful assistants in accessing the Divine, our Higher Selves and a calm and tranquil energy stream. The Archangel Michael Connection The Gibeon meteorite, contains a preponderance of a rare iron alloy only found in interstellar visitors to planet Earth, giving it a distinctive metaphysical connection with Archangel Michael. Esoteric Christianity makes a link between iron and Archangel Michael. An iron meteorite can provide the bearer with a powerful connection to Michael, providing access to the Archangel's loving wisdom and power to dissolve illusion through the activity of his famous sword, the sword of Ultimate Truth. During the Libran months, during late September and October in the northern hemisphere, meteor showers will be visible. At this time of year, when sensational meteor showers, largely composed of iron, traditionally streak across the night sky, Esoteric Christian philosopher Rudolph Steiner’s clairvoyant vision saw the traditional flashing iron sword of Michael. The meteoric sword of Michael was thought to cleanse the Earth’s atmosphere of summer's sulfurous influences, allowing the Higher Self to emerge and guide the initiate along the path of Spirit toward the birth of the Inner Christ Light, an event which takes place in December, during the festival of Christmas.  For more information on Michaelmas, see our article entitled Libra Festivals: Michaelmas, Rosh Hoshanah, Ramadan and Navratri.
