ALICE Pack Kidney Pad - New

ALICE Pack Kidney Pad - New Color: ODG Green The Alice Pack Kidney Pad, also known as the Alice Pack Lumbar Pad, is a component of the ALICE (All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) rucksack system, designed to provide comfort and support for the wearer's lower back. This kidney pad is a crucial piece of gear for anyone carrying an ALICE pack, as it helps to distribute the weight of the pack more evenly and prevent discomfort and fatigue during long marches or patrols. Attachment: The kidney pad attaches directly to the ALICE pack frame. The pack's waist belt or strap is fed through loops on the pad, securing it in place and allowing the wearer to cinch the pack tightly to their body. Support and Functionality: The primary function of the kidney pad is to create a cushioned interface between the rigid ALICE pack frame and the wearer's lumbar region. This not only prevents the frame from digging into the lower back but also aids in load stabilization. By transferring a portion of the pack's weight to the hips and lower back, it reduces the strain on the shoulders and upper back.
