GI Intensive Care (old name GI Calm)

Leaky Gut syndrome is recognized as a cause of insulin resistance, allergies, ulcers, and diarrhea and off behavior in people and horses. Being a syndrome, leaky gut is a very complex condition that is not caused by any one single factor but usually occurs in response to trauma, stress, metabolic challenge or a combination of one or more factors. Intense exercise is a documented trigger for leaky gut syndrome, therefore, high performance horses are very susceptible to this condition which may be confused with and/or occur concurrently with gastric ulcers. Due to the fact that leaky gut is often caused by a multitude of factors GI Calm takes a multi-faceted approach to supporting intestinal health and normal health and activity of epithelial tight junctions. GI Calm provides colostrum sourced peptides, slow release butyric acid, glutamine and other amino acids, zinc and other minerals, nutraceuticals to support normal neurotransmitter function, vitamins and probiotics to support normal health and activity of intestinal epithelial tight junctions.
