Ghostly Gourds Kit

A veritable witch’s brew of creepy, cuddly, frightful, and fun, designer Alexandra Frankel's Ghostly Gourds are the perfect addition to your October décor. Whether adorning your mantle, standing guard in the window to welcome trick-or-treaters, or providing a snuggly seasonal pal for your little one, these jack-o’-lanterns are sure to bring only the happiest of hauntings. These pumpkins are knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with a small number of stitches, and are shaped with circular increases and decreases. Ridges are formed with strands of yarn that are threaded up between two columns of stitches, down through the center of the pumpkin, and cinched. Finally, the jack-o’-lantern faces are worked using duplicate stitch. The faces are charted only.
