German WWII Fire/Police Enlisted Man’s Visor Cap-This is a fine example with the second style aluminum eagle. This example has a dark blue wool body that is in very good condition. The black velvet center band is also very good. The pink piping throughout does have some moth damage, but that is confined mostly to the top in a few spots. This piping is hidden by the way the blue wool of the cap sets over it. The second style aluminum police eagle and cockade are very nice. The size 57 liner is gold rayon. The oil cloth sweatband is intact. The moisture shield is missing. The visor is somewhat loose in the center. There is one repair to one side to the sweatband. This cap was made by HPC, or Hermann Potthoff Muetzenfabrik of Coesfeld and is nicely marked with his logo. The patent leather chinstrap is in place and looks very good. This has a very nice saddle shape. Overall, this cap is in very good condition and priced right.
