Bordallo Pinheiro GERANIUM FRUIT PLATE

Bordallo Pinheiro Geranium Fruit Plate       The Bordallo Pinheiro Geranium Fruit Plate is a remarkable example of Portuguese ceramic artistry, designed to celebrate the freshness and vibrancy of the natural world. Inspired by the graceful form of the geranium leaf, this piece captures the leaf’s fluid curves and subtle textures, finished in a rich green glaze with delicate white accents that bring depth and dimension to the design. Each plate is handcrafted from durable earthenware, carrying forward the legacy of Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro, whose work has long blended whimsical creativity with timeless craftsmanship.     Measuring 8.66 inches in diameter, the Geranium Fruit Plate provides ample space for serving fruit, desserts, cheeses, or appetizers. It also serves as an eye-catching decorative piece, whether placed at the center of a table or displayed on a wall or stand. Weighing just over two pounds (0.93 kilograms), it offers a perfect balance of sturdiness and elegance, suitable for both daily use and special events. Each plate’s artisanal glazing makes it uniquely distinctive. Part of Bordallo Pinheiro’s acclaimed Geranium Collection, this plate brings garden-inspired charm to any setting and pairs beautifully with other items from the series or stands out on its own.     While designed for functionality as well as beauty, the plate requires mindful care to preserve its exquisite finish.
