Georgie's 18"

NEW WEST KNIFEWORKS ARTISAN KNIFE MAGNETS: Georgie's 18" New West KnifeWorks Head of Production, Erin Hemmings, has mastered the art design of mixed media with these magnets. Combining rich, natural wood grain with the vibrancy of cast resin, these knife magnets provide a natural look and feel to your kitchen. This one-of-a-kind magnet can securely hold up to 5 knives on the super-strong magnets encased within. Knives Pictured: 7" Santoku Chef Knife & 6" Petty in Sunburst. The Process from the Artist: Local artisans in our shop craft each of these pieces by hand, highlighting the beauty of the wood. Hardwood branches are first cut laterally to allow powerful magnets to be inset at a precise depth. The wood and magnets are then set in a mold and cast with resin. After the resin has been set over several days, the entire piece is then meticulously sanded and hand-finished to create a satiny-smooth finish. This unique process was designed, invented, and built at the New West KnifeWorks production shop in Victor, ID. Questions? Contact us at 877.258.0100 or orders@newwestknifeworks.com.
