The TrueView 641 sensor is manufactured in Germany and assembled in the United States. It comes bundled with LP360 Drone, a robust geospatial data processing software developed by GeoCue’s team in Huntsville, Alabama. What is the advantage of a 3D Imaging Sensor compared to a standard LiDAR system? Traditional LiDAR systems generate a monochromatic 3D point cloud with basic spatial attributes like XYZ position, intensity, return number, scan angle, and GPS timestamp. In contrast, a 3D Imaging Sensor like the TrueView 641 produces a colorized point cloud and offers richer, more actionable datasets by tightly integrating high-resolution imagery with LiDAR data. This results in enhanced feature extraction, classification, and visualization capabilities. What derived products can be produced by LP360 software? LP360 Drone enables users to generate a wide range of derived geospatial products from TrueView 641 data, including: Classified ground models (bare earth) Planar surface extractions (e.g., roof prints) Topographic contour maps Stockpile boundaries and volumetric calculations (cut/fill) Cross sections and profile views Rail extraction (classified rail points and vectorized centerlines) Power line extraction (classified wires and vectorized catenaries) Gridded elevation models (from ground or first surface points) Feature-constrained models using breaklines for water bodies, pavements, walls, and more
