Gentle Savior

Gentle SaviorIn Gentle Savior, artist Jay Bryant Ward renders a deeply moving portrait of Jesus Christ through the luminous medium of watercolor. Long flowing brown hair, a close-cropped beard, and calm blue-green eyes meet the viewer's gaze with quiet assurance — an expression that conveys both strength and peace. Ward's signature loose, expressive brushwork wraps the figure in warm white robes and bathes the background in glowing golden and ochre washes, creating an ethereal warmth that feels both intimate and sacred. The soft, translucent quality of the watercolor technique gives this portrait a reverent, meditative presence — as if light itself is part of the composition. Printed on gallery-quality fine art paper or canvas, Gentle Savior is a meaningful addition to a devotional space, living room, hallway, or any home where faith is central to daily life. A thoughtful gift for baptisms, confirmations, Christmas, and faith milestones.
